The 2019 Wonder Race

A new generation of fundraising leaders have come together to make a compelling difference in the world of healthcare. Five years ago, they created the Wonder Race. In its first four years, this exciting event has netted over $180,000. The 5th edition will be taking place on Friday, June 14, 2019 in downtown Montreal. The proceeds of the event will be directed to the Canada Shriners Hospital, impacting the lives of young children all over our country and beyond.

The objective of the Wonder Race is to bring together teams of young professionals in a competitive environment, where they will strategically compete against one another in a unique race that will test and challenge their physical abilities, intellectual capacities and general common knowledge.

It is an event like no other and anyone's game.

A clue will be given at the start of the race that will lead the team to their first destination where they will be required to complete the challenge that lies ahead as quickly as possible. Upon completion of the task, another clue will be given to direct them to their next location until they have completed all 10 challenges.

By supporting the Wonder Race, you will help Shriners Hospitals for Children – Canada continue to change lives through innovative pediatric specialty care, world-class research and outstanding medical education. Located in Montreal, we are a bilingual, short-term, acute care centre providing elective pediatric orthopaedic healthcare and rehabilitation to children from across Canada and around the world.

Generous contributions will be showcased prior to and at the event and partners will have the opportunity to meet first-hand our influential guests at the awards ceremony following the race. We will have media coverage before and at the event, and will be featured in all major English and French newspapers in Montreal. Participants may register their foursomes directly on the Wonder Race website at: Teams are required to raise a minimum of $1,500. A t-shirt will be given to each team member upon registration and each team will receive a “get started kit” at the event. Spaces are limited, with a maximum of 50 teams. Registration will begin at 11:30 am and shotgun will be at 1:00pm. The event will end around 6:00 pm followed by cocktails and the awards ceremony.
